ACPHS WELLNESS CENTER

ACPHS students may access medical services through Russell Sage College’s wellness centers on the Albany and Troy campuses. The well-established health centers offer holistic medical care to students. Nurse practitioners work in collaboration with a physician to offer physicals, sick visits and referrals to other medical experts as needed.

Services are covered by the ACPHS student health and wellness fee. If referrals to specialists are required, students must use other means, including their health insurance, to cover those costs. All services, including consultations and referrals, are confidential. Information is not shared without written consent.

Tested Positive for COVID

Students do not need to inform the Albany Wellness Center of their positive test but must follow the CDC guidelines

Class Attendance for COVID-19 Positive Individuals

Students with any respiratory/infectious illness should stay home and away from others until they have met the CDC guidelines.

ACPHS expects instructors to accommodate students absent due to personal illness, family bereavement, major religious holidays, or other compelling circumstances. For short-term absences, students should communicate directly with faculty about missed coursework. Instructors may request documentation for these absences. For long-term illnesses, students should contact Student Experience with medical documentation. The Office of Student Affairs will inform instructors and the triangle of success about the absence.

The Albany Wellness Center is available to support you in case of illness. Please get in touch with us directly to make an appointment or to request a COVID-19 at-home test kit.
